The Wyoming Innovation Partnership (WIP) underscores the importance of robust partnership efforts, especially in the realms of administrative support, course sharing, and virtual reality integration. In the administrative sphere, WIP's dedicated support staff ensures the swift launch and continuous support of programming. This commitment is manifested in the development and implementation of formalized project management structures, providing ongoing support to statewide partners and ensuring accountability in project operations and budgetary reporting. 

Phase I emphasized a course-sharing component, laying the groundwork for a platform enabling Wyoming higher education institutions to share courses, promoting collaboration and flexibility for students. As WIP transitions into Phase II, the course-sharing platform will become institutionalized across all colleges, with the software development program poised to be the first to offer courses on the new platform. 

DIGITAL INFRASTRUCTURE

In addressing the dynamic landscape of the digital economy, the Wyoming Innovation Partnership (WIP) is at the forefront of fostering a highly-skilled workforce through efforts geared towards digital infrastructure and technology. Recognizing the imperative need for education and training in this evolving domain, WIP has taken significant strides, exemplified by the establishment of the School of Computing at the University of Wyoming, which actively engages students from elementary school onward. 

ENERGY
PHASE I KEY METRICS

Wyoming leads the nation as one of the top energy exporters. It is crucial for the state to continue developing a skilled workforce that can further enhance this energy exportation.

During Phase I, Wyoming's first powerline technology program and the integration of fiber optics components have set a remarkable example of successful collaboration between the education sector and industry. This partnership addresses the shortage of technicians in critical roles, and fixes that problem by giving Wyoming residents the resources and education to step into these well-paying and secure positions. Phase II promises exciting developments that will further solidify Wyoming's position in the energy industry.

ENTREPRENEURSHIP
PHASE I KEY METRICS

The Wyoming Innovation Partnership (WIP) plays a crucial role in navigating the intricate landscape of entrepreneurship and innovation within the state. Recognizing the perplexity faced by aspiring entrepreneurs, the Wyoming Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation, a key component of WIP, is dedicated to enhancing awareness and connectivity among existing resources and organizations by establishing and fostering collaboration and spearheading programs aligned with the state's economic priorities. 

Wyoming already boasts an impressive 76.5% success rate for startups remaining active after one year. WIP fortifies support for the existing workforce and champions the development of new business sectors. In Phase I, this initiative has resulted in four innovative programs, including a career and technical education (CTE) program, a certificate program, an associate's degree program, and a bachelor's degree program, showcasing a commitment to comprehensive and diverse educational pathways for future entrepreneurs within the state.

HEALTHCARE
PHASE I KEY METRICS

The Wyoming Innovation Partnership (WIP) is making significant strides in addressing critical healthcare workforce shortages through targeted initiatives. The severe shortage of echocardiography technologists in Wyoming and surrounding areas is being tackled head-on with the development of a new echocardiography program. This approach directly addresses the pressing need for Echocardiographers by offering an auxiliary or advanced program for medical imaging students, creating additional avenues for career advancement and specialization within the medical imaging field right here in Wyoming.

WIP has also responded to a shortage in certified nursing assistants (CNAs). With eight approved sites strategically located throughout the state, the nurse assistant course is being offered to meet demand. While facing limitations in lab size, the program emphasizes the need for equipment updates to enhance growth and efficiency in nurse assistant labs across the service area. 

TOURISM
PHASE I KEY METRICS

The Wyoming Innovation Partnership (WIP) is strategically addressing the evolving landscape of the hospitality and culinary industry, recognizing the need for enhanced infrastructure to digitize credentials and boost the state's adaptability. Focused on expanding short-term certificates and credentials, improving coordination in tourism/hospitality training, and fostering information sharing across the state, these initiatives aim to fortify Wyoming's culinary and hospitality offerings, particularly in areas with robust tourism sectors and corridors experiencing workforce limitations. Notably, the project extends beyond traditional hospitality education, with a multifaceted approach encompassing trail building, mountain biking, outdoor adventure and education, craft brewing, agritourism, event planning, anthropology, and search and rescue.
