MANUFACTURING WORKS
In partnership with the University of Wyoming, Laramie County Community College, Central Wyoming College, Western Wyoming Community College, Sheridan College, and Gillette College, Manufacturing Works (MW) is supporting industry and workforce development in the Advanced Manufacturing/Industry 4.0 space. Manufacturing is primed for change in the US, and MW is positioned to assist Wyoming manufacturers in preparing to meet it optimistically.
MW will act a catalyst for Wyoming manufacturers in delivering vetted solutions that surround the idea of moving into the Industry 4.0 space. In doing so, MW can also mitigate risk and create an environment that promotes growth and the lifespan of business in Wyoming. MW is facilitating this effort by expanding deliverable assets focused on Advanced Manufacturing/Industry 4.0, including the utilization of subject matter experts (SMEs), interns from the education partners listed above, and industry experts.
The scope of work will cover:
Creating the future of Advanced Manufacturing/Industry 4.0 for Wyoming’s growing critical manufacturing infrastructure base
Subtractive manufacturing/machining skills training—ensuring industry and K-12/Community Colleges programs are engaging and the skills taught are relevant to skills needed in the region
Additive manufacturing prototyping and training to reduce lead times increase efficiency and profitability
ISO, AS, Cybersecurity, and other necessary certifications to facilitate Wyoming manufacturers in expanding and diversifying into aerospace, space, automotive, and other high tech and in demand manufacturing spaces
LEAN/Six Sigma education and facilitation for Wyoming manufacturers to aid in their local, regional, national, and global competitiveness. These concepts, when deployed, will also improve efficiency and profitability of Wyoming manufacturers
Robotics, cobotics and AI facilitation, deployment, and training to assist Wyoming manufacturers to mitigate employee turnover in areas of repetitive and low skilled tasks and increase employee retention in primary job functions
OSHA and safety training for Wyoming manufacturers to ensure sustainability, resilience, and facility optimization
